Mathematics

Our math curriculum is guided by the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), which focus on developing both procedural fluency and deep conceptual understanding. The standards emphasize mathematical practices such as problem solving, reasoning, communication, and making real-world connections.

In the early grades, students build number sense, fluency with basic operations, and confidence using multiple strategies to approach problems. As they move into upper elementary, they extend their understanding to fractions, decimals, geometry, and data, while continuing to strengthen problem-solving skills. By middle school, students are applying algebraic thinking, exploring ratios and proportional relationships, and analyzing more complex functions and statistics. By the end of 8th grade, students are ready for the rigor of high school mathematics with a strong foundation in reasoning, perseverance, and mathematical modeling.
