Science
Our science curriculum is built on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), which emphasize hands-on investigation, critical thinking, and real-world problem solving. The NGSS are designed to help students not just learn scientific facts, but understand how science works and how it connects to everyday life.
In the primary grades, students develop curiosity by exploring natural phenomena and asking questions about the world around them. As they move into upper elementary, they begin designing simple investigations, collecting data, and using evidence to explain their thinking. By middle school, students are engaging in more sophisticated experiments, applying engineering design, and making connections across life, earth, and physical sciences. By the end of 8th grade, they are prepared for high school science with a strong foundation in inquiry, collaboration, and problem solving.
