RETURNING Student Registration
School Registration & Residency Verification
Incoming K-8 Gavin 37 Families,
In the coming days, we will kick off registration for next school year (please note - registration is not yet open). We typically start this process in March, however, we have been working behind the scenes this year to make residency verification easier for returning families!
Starting this year, we are using CLEAR, a third-party service to automatically confirm student addresses that is used by many school districts in Lake County. Most families will be verified electronically—if this applies to you, you’ll receive an email in the coming days asking you to register online in Family Access, but you will not need to submit any additional paperwork proving residency. That work will have been done for you.
If we cannot verify your residency electronically, you’ll be asked to register in Family Access AND prove residency. If this applies to you, you'll be receiving an email in the coming days, also, with instructions on how to take both steps.
This process ensures district resources are used for students who live within our boundaries, as required by Illinois law, and makes the registration process simpler for many families!
You may pay the registration and technology fees at a later date (or enter into a payment plan with the district).
To get started, login to your Family Access account.
