When the Online Section is complete, you will be ready for the Walk-In Section. Walk-In Registration is scheduled for:
Tuesday, August 4 from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Monday, August 10 from 2:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Online enrollment for the upcoming school year is now available! You will use Skyward Family Access to access registration.
New this year, families may upload their residency documents. Birth certificates may be uploaded for new students. You will need to provide proof of residency, pay the registration fee, technology fee, any outstanding fees, and provide a birth certificate (NEW students only) to complete the registration process. If you choose not to upload proof of residency, you may bring the required documents to either school office or provide them at Walk-In Registration.
How do I get started?
- Select the student you wish to register at the top.
- Select 20/21 Returning Student Registration OR 20/21 New Student Registration on the left side. Use New Student Registration ONLY if the child has never attended Gavin School District.
- Complete all steps and Submit the application/registration.
I can’t remember my login for Skyward Family Access.
If you are not able to retrieve your login credentials using the “Forgot your Login/Password?” link on the Sign In page, please contact your school directly for assistance logging into Skyward.
I have more than one student in the district. Do I need to do this for each child?
Yes, you will need to provide information that is specific to each child.
Do I need to come to Walk-In Registration?
Yes. At Walk-In Registration you may drop off medical forms and complete a waiver application for free or reduced meals. You will also receive busing information and schedules provided registration is complete. There will be a separate line for families that have completed online registration, proven residency, and paid fees.
When is Walk-In Registration?
Walk-In Registration is scheduled at Gavin Central on Tuesday, August 6 from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM and Monday, August 12 from 2:00 PM - 7:30 PM.

Screening for the 2020-21 Pre-K program will take place at Gavin Central by appointment on:

The developmental screening will take approximately one hour and is by appointment only. All children attending Pre-K must be screened for eligibility.
Children must have turned three years old and not turn five by September 1, 2019, must be toiled trained, and must live in the Gavin School District.

Incoming 5th Grade & New Middle School Student Orientation

This orientation is for parents of students who will be attending Gavin South Middle School for the first time in the Fall of 2020. You will hear details about your child's day, clubs & sports that are available, gain an understanding of behavioral and academic expectations, be given a tour of the building, and have a chance to get your questions answered.

Free and Reduced Waiver
In order for your registration fees to be waived you must meet the income eligibility guidelines set by the National School Lunch Program. To qualify for free/reduced lunches, you must complete the lunch waiver form or be direct certified through the State of IL. New applications are available in July of each year.
